Healthy Aging & Exercise

What does exercise have to do with healthy aging? Everything! To be the best version of yourself at any age, exercise must be a regular part of your routine. Study after study has shown that people who exercise have greater flexibility, experience fewer falling incidents, and enjoy improved overall health.

The best time to start exercising is today. You don’t have to get elaborate, either. Just carve out 30 minutes each day and decide to exercise. According to the National Institute of Health, we need at least 150 minutes of exercise at a moderate intensity level. You don’t want to overdo it, but you should find a way to move your body so that you’re getting in 150 minutes a week.

What counts as exercise? Well, a surprising amount of activities. Walking, jogging, jumping rope, swimming, and cycling are just a few ways you can exercise. There is also dancing, pilates, and martial arts. All of these are great ways to get your body moving so that you can stay healthy longer.
