What is Medicare Part C?
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative way to receive your Medicare benefits. It’s offered through private insurance companies approved by Medicare.

What Part C Covers

  • Everything Part A and Part B cover

  • Often includes Part D (drug coverage)

  • May include extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, fitness, transportation, or over-the-counter allowances

Costs

  • You must still pay your Part B premium ($174.70 in 2024).

  • Some Advantage plans have a $0 monthly plan premium.

  • Costs vary by plan (copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums).

⚠️ Important: Advantage plans have provider networks and service areas. Check that your doctors and hospitals are included.
