What is Medicare Part C?
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative way to receive your Medicare benefits. It’s offered through private insurance companies approved by Medicare.

What Part C Covers

  • Everything Part A and Part B cover

  • Often includes Part D (drug coverage)

  • May include extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, fitness, transportation, or over-the-counter allowances.

Costs (2026)

  • You must still pay your Part B premium ($202.90 per month in 2026).

  • Some Medicare Advantage plans have a $0 monthly plan premium (in addition to the Part B premium).

  • Costs vary by plan and may include copays, coinsurance, and an annual out-of-pocket maximum.

⚠️ Important: Advantage plans have provider networks and service areas. Check that your doctors and hospitals are included.
